Beats And Winds derives its name from the two central instruments that shape its unique identity—the flute and the djembe. Speaking about the album, Hrishikesh shared, “The name reflects the very soul of the compositions. Hrishikesh also extended heartfelt thanks to his co-creator, , acknowledging his invaluable contribution. “It was Shikhar bhai’s insights that played a crucial role in shaping the melodies of this album,” he noted.

Trained under the guidance of his father and guru, Padmashri Ronu Mujumdar, Hrishikesh continues to carry forward a rich musical legacy while exploring new-age expressions. Beats And Winds stands as a testament to this evolution—bridging generations, genres, and geographies.

Hrishikesh Majumdar is a remarkably talented and proficient young flute artist, celebrated as a prodigy in the world of Indian classical music. Beginning his musical journey at the tender age of 6, Hrishikesh has been under the tutelage of his father and guru, the legendary Pt. Ronu Majumdar. His mother, Mrs. Anandi Bula Majumdar, provided his initial vocal training, which was later honed under the guidance of Guru Pandit Vikas Kashalkar.
